8 May 2026 marks an important moment for Forever Forest: the signing of the usufruct agreement for Câmpușel Forest.
Through this agreement, the foundation receives the right to administer and protect the forest for 5 years, in partnership with the Pădurea de Mâine Foundation, the current owner.
The agreement allows the Forever Forest model to be implemented in one of Europe’s most valuable forest ecosystems, located between Retezat National Park and Domogled-Valea Cernei National Park.
During this period, Forever Forest will ensure:
If this model is applied successfully, at the end of the period - on 8 May 2031 - the forest can become permanently protected by passing into Forever Forest ownership.
This agreement represents the first concrete step towards creating forests protected in perpetuity.
