What researchers found
Two major scientific campaigns documented the ecological value of Câmpușel: the 2010 biodiversity counter-study and the 2017 quasi-virgin forest assessment.
The findings support the same conclusion: this is an old, complex forest whose protection should be based on evidence, not impressions.
How we monitor now
We combine classic field inventories with automatic audio analysis. BioT systems can identify illegal activity and the presence of species through acoustic signatures.
Record
- Continuation of the 2010 and 2017 counter-studies
- Automatic acoustic monitoring since the Zabala pilot
- Data prepared for scientific publications
